Cash Cashman[]

Cash Cashman (born Jerry Cashman) was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by John Gibson.

Cash Cashman owned and danced in a strip club. In 1980, Cash came to Genoa City from the east coast and offered Nikki Reed a job in the "entertainment" business. She'd have to dance the striptease, he told her, but that would only be to get attention. Once his new nightclub, The Bayou, took off, he swore that Nikki would be dancing in legitimate productions. He'd even help her get to the big stage in Vegas! A star struck Nikki accepted the job, much to the disappointment of those who loved her.

And when Jonas learned of Cash's sizable gambling debt, he, too, warned Nikki that she might get hurt. In 1981, Cash bought and ran The Bayou strip club. Nikki worked there as a stripper. Cash was a dancer there also. He was a lovable rascal, very irresistible. Katherine Chancellor made a trip or two to watch him strip and even hornswaggled prim and proper Liz Foster to go with her. In time, Cash also became Katherine's paid escort. Cash introduced Nikki and Katherine Chancellor to each other. Katherine truly fell in love with Cash and wanted to marry him. Unknown to her, he was addicted to gambling and owed money to some bad guys.

Katherine was trying to bail Cash out of some of his gambling debt's but she didn't realize how much trouble Cash was in. In 1982, their plans were brought to an abrupt end when Cash was stabbed and killed. Nikki and Katherine were devastated and bonded over their loss of Cash. They consoled each other because they'd both lost someone important to them.


Cathy Bruder[]

Cathy Bruder was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Cindy Fisher.

In February 1980, Brock Reynolds was asked by Casey Reed to be the public defender of a 16-year-old patient of hers named Cathy Bruder. Cathy had been charged with theft after she stole a Rolls Royce and took it on a joyride. Brock arrives at the police station to talk with Cathy who tells him how sorry she is for what she did. Cathy, who is extremely frightened by the whole thing, asks Brock if she will have to go to a juvenile facility for her crime. Brock tells her that it is possible because she has a previous record for shoplifting. Unbeknownst to Cathy, the owners of the Rolls Royce are a rich couple, Victor Newman and his wife Julia. Victor and Julia both arrive at the station as well and Victor makes it very clear that he wants Cathy charged as an adult to the fullest extent possible. Brock tries to get Victor to see how callous he is being but Victor doesn’t listen and believes that Cathy should be taught a lesson.

Later on Brock is informed that the state would like to charge Cathy as adult for her little joyride. Julia begins to feel quite guilty about the way her and Victor have been handling the situation with Cathy. Brook tries to plea with Julia, but she continues to side with Victor.

Finally, Cathy’s fate is decided at the juvenile court on whether or not she should be charged as an adult. Brock pulls out every trick possible to spare Cathy from jail time. Due to Brock’s valiant efforts, Cathy is spared from from jail and will serve a more reasonable punishment for her misdeed.


Dorothy Stevens[]

Dorothy Stevens was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Melinda Cordell.

Dorothy Stevens was the mother of twins April Stevens and Barbara Ann Harding and the grandmother of Heather Stevens. In 1980, Dorothy moved to town. She was married to Wayne Stevens. In 1982, Dorothy left town when she moved to New York with her family.


Felipe Ramirez[]

Felipe Ramirez was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Victor Mohica.

In 1980, The newly-reunited couple, Derek Thurston and Katherine Chancellor, decided to go on a cruise but while traveling they had a fight. Katherine, realizing that her marriage was a sham, jumped overboard and wound up building a relationship with the man who found her - Felipe Ramirez. When she returned from being held captive by and falling in love with Felipe, she divorced Derek. In 1981, Felipe left town.


George Packard[]

George Packard was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by an unknown actor.

In June 1980, Derek Thurston went to work at Chancellor Industries. George Packard, a friend of Rex Sterling's, didn't trust Derek so he arranged for Judy Wilson to work as Derek's secretary to keep tabs on him in an effort to protect Katherine Chancellor. But George's plan backfired.

In June 1980, Derek Thurston went to work at Chancellor Industries. George Packard, a friend of Rex Sterling's, didn't trust Derek so he arranged for Judy Wilson to work as Derek's secretary to keep tabs on him in an effort to protect Katherine Chancellor. But George's plan backfired. Judy led Derek to believe that she was actually his ally. Meanwhile, Douglas Austin tried unsuccessfully to pursue a romance with Katherine Chancellor. With Douglas pining for Katherine, Derek turned his romantic attention to Judy. Judy had an affair with Derek. She also flirted with Victor Newman. In 1981, Judy left town.


Monique[]

History

Monique was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by an unknown actress.

In 1980, with trouble brewing in Lance Prentiss and Lorie Brooks' marriage, Lance began an affair with Monique. Realizing, however, that he wanted his marriage to work, Lance sent Monique back to Paris and set his sights on wining Lorie back.


Steven Williams[]

Steven Williams was the son of Carl and Mary Williams. He had two brothers, Paul and Todd, and one sister, Patty. Steven became in involved with Peggy Brooks and moved to Washington DC in 1981.

Sumiko was originally thought to be the leader of the cult Nikki Newman and Paul Williams were apart of. In 2015, it was revealed that Ian Ward was the true leader and that Sumiko was his second in command.


Walter Addison[]

Walter Addison was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Paul Savior.

Walter Addison was a businessman who hired then aspiring model and unknowing hooker Nikki Reed in 1980. When she ended up in a hotel room with him, Nikki realized he wasn't actually there to help her with her career as a model. While she struggled from his advances, he chased Nikki around the room and suddenly collapsed from a heart attack. In a panic, Nikki called Rose DeVille who arranged for two thugs to dump Addison’s body in a nearby alley. A street kid named Tony stumbled upon the body and went through the corpse's pockets in search of a wallet.


Wayne Stevens[]

Wayne Stevens was the father of April Stevens and Barbara Ann Harding. Wayne was married to Dorothy Stevens. In 1980, Wayne tried to steal in order to support his family. In 1982, Wayne left town.

Barbara Ann Harding (born Barbara Ann Stevens, also known as Barbara Conway) was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Beth Scheffel.

Barbara Conway was the daughter of Dorothy and Wayne Stevens. She had one twin sister April Stevens. In 1981, Paul Williams began the first step in his detective career by finding April's twin sister, Barbara, and reuniting her with her family. Paul then had an affair with Barbara, whom April had yet to meet. In 1982, Barbara moved back to New York.

After visiting Genoa City, April and Heather Stevens returned to New York, much to Paul and Mary Williams' disappointment. They went to live with her sister Barbara who was rich and ended up financing Heather's education at a college in New York where her room mate Macy was murdered.


Gretchen[]

Gretchen was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Katherine Kelly Lang.

Gretchen was good friends with Patty Williams.

Feeling betrayed by her family and wanting to have some fun, Patty Williams invited her friend Gretchen to accompany her to a country western club. At the club, Patty and Gretchen were introduced to Jack Abbott.


Jennifer Foster[]

Jennifer Foster (born Jennifer Elizabeth Foster) was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Erin and Ramona Richter and formerly Christine Hoffstadt.

Jennifer Foster was the daughter of Chris Brooks and Snapper Foster. She had one paternal half brother, Chuckie Roulland. Jennifer was named after both of her grandmothers, Jennifer Brooks and Liz Foster. Her grandfathers are; Bill Foster and Stuart Brooks.

Michael Scott[]

Michael Scott was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Nicholas Benedict.

Michael Scott was a photographer. In 1981, longing for work of her own, Julia Newman takes a modeling job with photographer Michael who was attracted to her. Victor Newman became jealous and, when Julia turned up pregnant, he was convinced that the baby was Michael's. Victor began taping his wife's conversations with her lover, Michael Scott. When Victor's suspicion that Julia and Michael were lovers was confirmed, he trapped Michael in a bomb shelter in the basement of his ranch home.

Victor forced Michael to watch Victor and Julia's bedroom via closed-circuit camera. Julia found Michael and freed him from the bomb shelter. While attempting to flee the Newman ranch, Victor happened upon the pair and a fist fight between Michael and Victor ensued. Julia got caught up in the crossfire. She suffered a terrible fall and had a miscarriage. Blood tests later proved that Victor was in fact the father. Julia and Michael left town separately.

Alex Morgan was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Ben Hammer.

Alex Morgan was a captain with the Genoa City Police Department. In May 1982, Carl Williams got a vice squad job with Captain Alex Morgan who was secretly involved with racket boss, Pete Walker. In 1983, Alex and Pete killed each other in a shootout.


Allison Bancroft[]

Allison Bancroft was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Lynn Wood.

Allison Bancroft was the mother of Kevin Bancroft. She went to college with Earl Bancroft, Katherine Chancellor and Dina Mergeron. She and Earl married.

In 1981, Nikki Reed was a stripper who later started a romance with Kevin which was troubled by his disapproving mother Allison. Sassy manicurist, Ruby Collins had Allison as a regular client. Ruby informed Allison of the porno film featuring her son's girlfriend. Allison bought a copy of a pornographic film titled Hot Hips purportedly starring Nikki in a bid to end Nikki's relationship with Kevin. Ruby later served as a sounding board as Allison expressed her enduring disapproval of Nikki and devised various schemes to discredit her.

After Nikki's daughter, Victoria Newman, was born, she was kidnapped by Allison. It was discovered that Victor Newman was the father of the baby, not Kevin, and the baby was returned to Nikki. In 1983, Allison left town.


Brian Forbes[]

Brian Forbes was a chemist at Jabot Cosmetics. In 1982, Ashley Abbott began working as a chemist at Jabot as "Susan Ashley" to keep from being labeled the boss' daughter and romance developed with chemist Brian Forbes. In 1983, Brian left town.

Cindy Lake[]

Cindy Lake was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by DeAnna Robbins.

Cindy Lake was a prostitute. In 1982, Tony DiSalvo raped Cindy. Paul Williams began working undercover trying to clear his father, Carl Williams who was being framed as a cop on the take. Paul met Cindy, a hooker "with a heart of gold," and befriended her hoping to expose another prostitute, Pam Warren, who had framed his dad. Paul fell for Cindy. Paul got the big boss to free Cindy from the ring and promised her they'd spend quality time together when this was all over. Paul intended to marry Cindy. Walker ordered Paul to kill Pam so Paul took her to the Williams' home to hide.

Pam saw how she'd destroyed his family's happiness and agreed to talk. Cindy was put back to work as a prostitute and Walker got someone classier for Paul to date. Pam was taken into protective custody but when Paul was unable to prove he'd killed Pam, Pete ordered his death, then and there. She urged him to leave town when Pete Walker took out a contract on him. Pam was killed. Paul was worried Cindy might meet the same fate as Pam but she refused to leave town. Paul had to go into hiding from the mob. Cindy didn't see Paul for a few days and sent out feelers but Walker wasn't interested in nosy broads checking up on his people.

In 1983 to lure Paul out, the syndicate kidnapped his mother, Mary Williams. Carl negotiated a deal (Mary for Paul). Fortunately, Paul and Carl Williams rescued Mary and almost all the members of the mob were put behind bars--with the exception of Tony. Alex Morgan (a crooked cop) and Pete killed each other as Mary was rescued and reunited with Paul and Carl. Tony shot Cindy. Paul proposed to her on her death bed and she died soon afterward in Paul's arms. Cindy's life was cut short when she took a bullet intended for Paul.

Earl Bancroft was the father of Kevin Bancroft. He attended college with Allison Bancroft, Katherine Chancellor and Dina Mergeron. He and Katherine dated. He was later married to Allison.

Frank Lewis was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Brock Peters.

Frank Lewis was the father of Amy Lewis. In 1982, Frank was the Genoa City Police Commissioner. Frank was critically wounded while on duty and in a coma; he came out of it only to have a heart attack and slip back into it. After Frank had recovered, Paul Williams began working for the GCPD. This pleased his father, Carl Williams, a long-time officer on the force as well as Commissioner Frank Lewis, Carl's boss. In 1989, Frank moved to San Diego. He later suffered a stroke.

Kevin Bancroft was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Christopher Holder.

Kevin Bancroft was the son of Allison and Earl Bancroft. After spending one night together, Victor Newman denied his feelings for Nikki Reed and set her up with wealthy tycoon Kevin Bancroft. Nikki was a stripper who later started a romance with Kevin which was troubled by his disapproving mother. In a bid to end Nikki's relationship with her son, Allison bought a copy of a pornographic film titled Hot Hips purportedly starring Nikki.

The film was distributed by criminal Tony DiSalvo. Nikki was eventually able to prove that she did not perform the sex scenes featured in the film; they were enacted by a different woman, Boobsie Caswell Austin, and were inter-cut with video footage of Nikki stripping. During her relationship with Kevin, Nikki had a fling with Victor. Nikki and Kevin married and she soon found out that she was pregnant.

There was some doubt as to the paternity of the child. Nikki's relationship with Kevin ended and she took up with Rick Daros during her pregnancy. After her daughter, Victoria Newman (named after Kevin's grandmother), was born, she was kidnapped by Allison. It was discovered that Victor was the father and the baby was returned to Nikki.

Amy Lewis (also known as Amy Peters Lewis) was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Stephanie E. Williams.

Amy Lewis was the daughter of Frank Lewis. She is the adoptive mother of Laura Williams. In 1983, Amy dated Tyrone Jackson. Amy worked with Paul Williams and Andy Richards at their private investigation firm. After Amy realized that Nathan Hastings was illiterate, she secretly taught him to read and write. The two soon started dating. Danny Romalotti was often joined by sister Gina Roma and friends Traci Abbott, Lauren Fenmore and Amy who sang with him when he performed on stage. In 1988, Paul hired Lynne Bassett as his secretary after Amy left town to take care of her father.

Carol Robbins (also called Carol Robbins Evans) was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by actress Christopher Templeton.

Carol Robbins was the mother of Skylar Evans. In 1983, Carol was one Jabot Cosmetics' executive secretaries, mostly working for Jack Abbott. In 1986, Carl Williams and Salena Wylie found Jack at Carol's apartment after he found Jill Abbott shot in her hotel room. In 1987, Carol met a man named Skip Evans at work.

After falling in love, the couple married in 1989 with the support of the Abbotts. Carol had survived a childhood illness that left one of her legs permanently disabled and in a brace. The illness also prevented her from conceiving a baby and adoption agencies refused to let them adopt one. Carol and Skip then came into contact with a young, unwed pregnant mother named Nancy Nolan who was unsure whether the father was her boyfriend or the result of a rape. After her baby was born, Nan discovered that the father was indeed her boyfriend and had second thoughts about giving up her baby to the Evans. Eventually, she let Skip and Carol adopt her baby after realizing that she was unprepared for the responsibilities of raising a child. In 1993, Carol and Skip left Genoa City.

Eric Garrison was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Brian Matthews.

Eric Garrison was the father of Jamie Martin. He was a painter from Paris and had an affair with Dina Mergeron.

In 1983, Ashley Abbott began seeing Eric. Eventually they became engaged. Dina offered to help with the wedding plans. When Ashley accepted Eric's marriage proposal, he had his belongings sent from Paris. Among them, Dina made sure that Ashley found a painting of her estranged mother, Dina, which was signed "All My Love, Eric". Ashley soon broke it off with Eric and fell in love with Marc Mergeron who turned out to be Dina's stepson. Eric did not know he had fathered a daughter with Julia Martin. In 1985, Eric left town.

Joe Blair was a photographer. In 1983, Cricket Blair, the teenage niece of Jabot Cosmetics employee, Joe, came to Genoa City and became a model for Jabot. After Joe left town, Skip Evans replaced him as photographer at Jabot.

Tim Sullivan was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Scott Palmer.

Tim Sullivan was a college professor. In 1983, Traci Abbott fell for him and they ended up sleeping together. After finding out that she was pregnant by Tim, Traci found him in bed with another woman and attempted suicide. The next year, Traci, thinking that Brad Carlton had abandoned her, suffered a miscarriage. This caused her to take comfort with her former lover, Tim. In 1987, Tim left town.

Brent Davis was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Bert Kramer and formerly Jim McMullan.

Brent Davis was the father of Ashley Abbott. He was a tennis pro at the Genoa City Country Club. He had left town, but returned and began an affair with Dina Mergeron's friend Katherine Chancellor. When he found out that he was dying he wanted to reveal that he had been Dina's lover and was Ashley's real father! Dina and Kay tried to talk him out of it but failed.

Ashley was traumatized by the news when he told her, and ended up with no memory at a roadside dinner where she took the name "Annie" and worked as a waitress. When Brent and Kay returned from a vacation together, Dina confronted Brent about what he had done. Dina shot Brent but missed and Kay was shot instead. John Abbott never found out he wasn't Ashley's biological father.

In 2017, Brent's past came back to haunt the Abbotts in the form of his previously u unknown stepson, Graham Bloodworth. Brent was with Graham's mother, Myrna, before he hadn't his affair with Dina, and Graham and his mother blamed Dina for Brent leaving them.


Cora Miller[]

Cora Miller was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Dorothy McGuire.

Cora Miller was the mother of Matthew and Christian. She was married to Albert Miller who abandoned her and their two sons, Matthew and Christian. A few years later, Cora had to put her sons in an orphanage because she was unable to provide for them. In the orphanage, Christian renamed himself Victor Newman. In 1984, after they became husband and wife, Nikki Newman arranged for Victor to be reunited with his mother, Cora, but the reconciliation was brief. Cora soon died from a terminal illness.


Leroy[]

History

Leroy was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Hank Underwood.

Leroy was the owner of The Bayou, a strip club. In 1984, Allison Bancroft talked Leroy, the new owner of The Bayou, into asking Nikki Reed to come back and strip for one show to help him get money to pay Pete Walker. Nikki agreed but only if no one said anything to Kevin Bancroft. Allison went straight to her son, Kevin, and told him Nikki was at the bar. He went there with Victoria Newman (then an infant), saw Nikki and left immediately. Walker told Leroy he needed to make a tape of Nikki stripping or die so he set up a hidden camera to tape her.


Lindsey Wells[]

Lindsey Wells was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Lauren Koslow.

Lindsey Wells worked at Jabot Cosmetics. In 1984, Diane Jenkins was ready to be committed to Jack but insisted they abstain from sex to ensure his feelings were true. Jack found no problem with her request since he was getting his physical needs met by Lindsey. Diane and Lindsey eventually discovered Jack's two-timing ways. This resulted in Jack choosing Lindsey over Diane.

After Jack and Lindsey broke up, she took illicit photos of Jack and Jill Abbott's affair. Then she blackmailed the two into giving her higher positions in the company and other concessions knowing that if John Abbott ever saw the pictures, he would disown his son, Jack, and divorce his wife, Jill. In order to get close to the negatives, Jack concocted a plan to marry Lindsey in a fake ceremony. As soon has she discovered the marriage ceremony was a fake, she sold the negatives to Jill's arch-nemesis Katherine Chancellor. When John eventually saw the pictures, Lindsey, as the photographer, became a key witness in his divorce trial with Jill. Soon after that, Lindsey left Genoa City and moved to New York.


Marc Mergeron[]

Marc Mergeron was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Frank M. Bernard.

Marc Mergeron was the son of Marcel Mergeron from a previous marriage. His stepmother was Dina Mergeron. He was a shareholder of his father's company, Mergeron Enterprises. In 1984, Ashley Abbott fell in love with Marc who turned out to be Dina's stepson and thereby Ashley's stepbrother. He also had an affair with Jill Foster. In 1985, Marc sold his shares of Mergeron Enterprises to Victor Newman for a hefty profit and left town.

Matt Miller was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, formally portrayed by Robert Parucha from 1985-1987, 2003, 2020 and will be portrayed by Richard Gleason first appearing sometime in September 2018.

Matthew Miller was the son of Albert and Cora Miller. He had one older brother named Christian. Matt's dad abandoned the family when he and his brother Christian were young. Cora could not feed her sons, so she gave them to an orphanage. In 1985, Matt came to Genoa City. In an attempt to get Victor away from Ashley Abbott, Nikki set her and Matt up, but it didn't work. He left town in 1987. In 2003, he returned briefly.


Sven Petersen[]

Sven Petersen was a fictional character on The Young and the Restless, portrayed by Lee Nicholl.

Sven Petersen worked as a masseur at the Genoa City Hotel. In 1985, Sven fell hard for his client, Jill Abbott. Jill wasn't interested and turned down his advances. Weeks later, to complete his revenge, Sven kidnapped Jill, dragged her into a refrigerated meat locker, imprisoned her and turned the temperature down. Jack and lawman Carl Williams eventually found Jill and rescued her from an icy death. Jack was vindicated.

Later, Beverly finally found Molly. Mrs. Stark was still under the assumption that her daughter went to Genoa City for a job. She told Molly however that she would bring them home the next day and that they would work everything else out. Molly tip-toed around her mother when it came to the real reason she left home: her pregnancy. Molly argued with her mother as Beverly let it slip how difficult life became when she got pregnant at such a young age. She therefore urged her daughter to quit her job and excel in school.

Cricket and Danny joined the Starks for lunch and tried to help Molly break the news of her pregnancy. Molly tried to run away but was caught by Danny and Cricket. Molly finally told her mother that she was pregnant. Beverly was shocked. After a heated argument she decided to leave town - alone. Backstage later, Molly and Beverly reconciled as Danny and Traci Carlton sang "Be good be true". Molly went home with her mother. It is unknown whether or not Molly had the baby.

Dr. Walters showed up at Paul Williams' office to inform him that his patient was asking for Lauren. The devious Shawn took an unsuspecting Lauren to San Francisco but Tamra who was drifting in and out of consciousness in a hospital bed knew her friend was in terrible danger. Lauren was rescued from Shawn by Paul and Andy Richards who found her with the help of Tamra. Later, Lauren paid Tamra a visit. Tamra had recovered greatly in recent months. Lauren handed her Farren Connor's powder compact and asked for her insight. Tamra left town that year.

Turk was a professional hit man. Lauren received a phone call from Turk whom she tried to convince that Shawn no longer needed his services. Turk warned Shawn not to trust Lauren. Andy Richards and Paul caught Shawn in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf as his henchman Turk arrived with a gun in his hands. The situation escalated when the police were surrounding the docks. In panic Turk shot Shawn before getting killed as well. With Shawn and Turk dead, Paul and Andy feared that they would never find Lauren but they did.

In 1989, Cassandra Rawlins was meeting a mysterious man named Adrian Hunter promising him that she was desperate to leave Genoa City and start a new life with him. Adrian blackmailed Cassandra into marriage. Paul Williams and Carl Williams followed Cassandra and her lover Adrian to Bermuda where Paul and Carl tormented Cassandra with visions of Paul as a ghost. Horrified, Cassandra quickly returned home to Genoa City. Soon after, Cassandra confessed that on the night that George was murdered, she was knocked unconscious. When she awoke, there was a gun in her hand and her husband was dead.

With Cassandra's help, Victor Newman came up with an elaborate plan to get Adrian to return to the States so he could be arrested. Cassandra called Adrian and told him that she was being held prisoner by Victor, was tied to a chair, had a gun pointed at her and a block of melting ice rigged to fire it. When Adrian arrived to save her, Victor and Paul captured him. Carl arrested Adrian and succeeded in exposing him as George's killer. In 1990, Adrian was convicted and sentenced for murdering George.

She died and the husband was grief-stricken. He later found out the couple were Rick and Melissa Daros! He called Paul, told him there were too many extenuating circumstances and asked Paul to join him in Maui right away.

They suspected Rick had killed Melissa by drowning her. Nikki Reed hooked up with Rick not knowing that he was responsible for the drowning death of Melissa and was planning a repeat performance with Nikki. Andy and Paul ended up saving Nikki from Daros who shot Victor Newman in the groin with a fishing spear before escaping by swimming away in the ocean.
