Elise Moxley is a character on The Young and the Restless, who debuted on November 13, 2015. She is played by Another World alumni Jensen Buchanan.
Elise is a Judge presiding over Adam Newman's appeal in the Vehicular Homicide of Delia Abbott. Adam was sentenced to 10 years in prison. His attorney, Michael Baldwin, petitions to have this sentenced reduced. Victor Newman agrees to help Adam in exchange for his full loyalty in his mission to rebuild his company while destroying Jack Abbott.
It is revealed that Elise is being blackmailed by Victor with whom she had a secret affair. Victor uses this information to control her ruling in Adam's case. When Nikki Newman confronts Elise, she reveals to Nikki and Adam that she had been intimate with Victor, and this is the leverage he is holding over her. Adam's case is made strong enough that Elise gives Adam probation, but warns him if he even speeds too much, he will be back in prison.
Elise finds herself being blackmailed again by Nikki when Noah Newman is arrested for Billy Abbott's hit and run, and then when Victor is arrested for his many crimes. Realizing the blackmail will never end, and not willing to let Victor get away with all of his crimes, Else holds a press conference, admitting her affair with Victor, and recuses herself from his case.
(Off-screen), Elise was revealed to be the judge that would preside over Adam's trial for murdering Constance Bingham. Adam pled guilty and was given thirty years in Walworth prison.
